Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. ~~Proverbs 3:5-6

My baby's back!

Well, it's official - she is fully recovered from her illness (well - the medical illness anyway)! Presently she is throwing a tantrum in the kitchen floor (she disobeyed me and now her daddy has intervened), so I absolutely know that she is feeling like herself again.

On a lighter note - she is definitely back to normal. Goofy, funny-face making, with more energy than anybody can handle. Thank goodness though!

Abby continued...

So, today we are holding steady at 100 degrees. Other than that and a snotty nose, she is still laying around being pitiful. I MUST share what one of our friends from church emailed us this morning:

"Father, I pray you will hold Abby in the palm of your healing hand right now. Bless her, comfort her, and heal her little body, Lord. I boldly ask before your throne that you give her body strength to fight off this sickness, and that you will quickly heal Abby, because God, she is so very precious, and she loves you, God, will all her heart. Bless her parents as they cope with taking care of her needs, and give them peace, as well.

In Christ's love, Amen"

We love you Reenie! Thank you so much!

Abby update

UPDATE: Nix the part about feeling better - temp. has spiked back up to 102.3. She is so pitiful!

We made a trip to the pediatrician this morning, and she has viral pharyngitis. So, basically we keep doing what we're doing. She still had a fever this morning, but she insists she feels better. We'll see - keep praying!

more sick days, and other prayer requests

Ok, so this time it's Abby.....fever, icky nose, and just feeling bad in general. I love the fact that she is being cuddly, but not the sick part. Plus, she is staying up my hiney constantly. Ahhhh, the life of a mom! Pray for her please!!

Also, 2 women at my church are about to start chemo and radiation treatments. Reenie L. has had a recurrence of ovarian cancer, so this is round 3 for her (round 2 was a clinical trial). Nancy M. was just diagnosed with Stage III squamous cell carcinoma (of all places - at the base of her tongue). So, needless to say - they are in need of some prayer......please join me on my knees and let's do what we were created to do!

Last but definitely not least - it's about a month until we leave for our mission trip! Wow! We still need every ones prayers for all facets of the trip!

knock-knock jokes

We were discussing knock-knock jokes at work today, so I thought I would share a few of Abby's favorite ones.....but I also want to get everyone to EITHER post your favorite or worst knock-knock joke (post as a comment, then I will add them to my blog at a slightly later date)!

JOKE 1:

---Knock-knock...

---Who's there?

---Cows go...

---Cows go who?

---Cows don't go who, they go MOO!

JOKE 2:

---Knock-knock...

---Who's there?

---Boo...

---Boo who?

---I didn't mean to make you cry!

Keep in mind that she is 6 1/2! Now come on people - get to commenting so that I can spruce up my blog with some more cheesy knock-knock jokes!

New Years Resolution...

I have always made the "typical" New Years resolutions....for example - lose weight, exercise more, yadda yadda yadda....so this year, I resolve to NOT make any resolutions, therefore I can't fail! Anyone else with me?
